1. What type of vehicles will be provided by Yeti Holidays for local travel and sightseeing?
Yeti Holidays owns comfortable automobiles ranging from a private deluxe car for an individual traveler up to a large luxurious coach for big groups facilitating comfortable rides during travel and tour programs.
Our vehicles for travel and sightseeing in Kathmandu:

AC Car : Toyota Avanza /Peuguet (French Car)
AC Van : Maruti
AC Hiace (12 Seater) : Toyota
AC Coaster(20 Seater) : Nissan

2. Will Yeti Holidays provide any kind of security during treks?
For security, we at Yeti Holidays provide experienced trekking guides, Sardars* and porters during trekking. They are strong, sensible and will take good care of all the guests during treks.

(In mountaineering, specifically in the Himalayas, the Sirdar or Sardar is the local leader of the Sherpas and porters.)

3. How many guides will there be for the group?
There will be 01 trained guide and 02 Sardars for every 20 guests (or less) and 01 porter for every 02 guests. For e.g. If you in a group of 6, you will have 1 trained guide, 2 Sardars and 3 porters.

4. In case one falls sick, especially during treks and in remote areas, how can they seek medical attention? How will Yeti Holidays provide assistance?
Our trekking guide is well trained in first aid and will carry basic medicines. If guests have any normal sickness, he will help them. In case of altitude sickness, guests will be advised to descend down or return. In the worst scenarios, rescue operations will be done by chartered helicopters.

5. Can you provide details on the process of the rescue operations?
Chartered helicopters will be used for the rescue operations only during trekking and mountaineering. Once they are airlifted they will be taken to a hospital for proper treatment.

6. Does Yeti Holidays have a Team of Doctors or Hospitals that they refer to?
Yeti Holidays do not have a team of doctors. We refer hospitals mentioned below to our valuable guests:

7. What kind of food will be provided during the treks? Will they be prepared on-site?
Food will be prepared on site for the treks based on tented camp. Treks with tea houses as resting stops will have their meals prepared by the tea houses they stay in en-route.

8. Weather conditions to be expected and things to carry?
Details about weather conditions are given in the FAQs (attached herein).
The capital, Kathmandu reaches below 1 Degree Celsius (34 F) during the winter and rises to an average 32 Degree Celsius (90 F) during the summer.

-Winter in Nepal: December-February
- Spring in Nepal: March-May,
- Summer in Nepal: June-August,
- Autumn in Nepal: September-November

9. Do I have to carry any camping equipment such as tents and sleeping bags?
No, you do not have to bring any camping equipments. All camping equipments will be provided by us and carried by the porters.

10. Once the client reaches Kathmandu, how long does it take to get a visa for Tibet and Bhutan? Can they arrive in Kathmandu on a Friday and still get the visa within the same time period?
Tibet Visa can be obtained from Chinese Embassy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 am to 11 am. We need to submit the original passport copy with 1 color passport size photo to the concerned embassy on the mentioned day for visa processing. Hence clients must arrive accordingly for Tibet visa application.

Regarding Bhutan travel permit, we need scanned passport copies 20 days prior to clients’ arrival.
